In accordance with, a resolution, adopted at a special meeting of the Village Council held March 18th, you are hereby instructed to meet on Tuesday March 25th to call an election of Village Official Primary to date to be set within 30 days of meeting date, and to cover following officials. {1} Mayor {3} Alderman {1} Town Marshall and {5} members Village executive Committee.

The primary election for Village officials was called for April 25, 1924,and on account of no opposition, the following were declared the nominees by the executive committee:

Marshall—W.C. Guidry
Executive Committee—G.E. Booksh
J.B. Haynes
A.C. Bujol

Date for the village general election was set for May 26th, 1924. Thirty days after date for primary election.

Allen Mouch—Alderman—Present
Special meeting called for the purpose of calling an election of all officials in and for the Village of Addis, Louisiana. The mayor being absent, Mayor – Protem, J.E. Foret presided.
A motion was offered by Alderman W.A. Peyronnin that the Village Executive committee be instructed to meet not later than Tuesday March 25th, to call a primary election for the following Officials for the Village of Addis.
One---Mayor
Three—Alderman
One—Marshall
Five—Members Village Executive Committee
Motion being duly seconded by Alderman Mouch, same was carried.
The secretary was instructed in line with above motion to notify present members of Village Executive committee to meet on Tuesday March 25th and set date for election.
There being no further business and on motion of A. Mouch seconded by W.A. Peyronnin, meeting adjoined subject to special call.

In accordance with a resolution, adopted at a special meeting of the Village counsel or the Village of Addis, held March 18th, you are hereby instructed to meet on Tuesday March 25th to call a primary election for all village officials, in accordance with the laws of the state of Louisiana.
Date of said election to be set within 30 days of date committee meets. Election to cover the following officers:
1-Mayor
1-Town Marshall
3-Alderman
5-Members Village Executive Committee

The Democratic Executive Committee of the Village of Addis met at the Mayor’s office on this day, with the following persons present in person or by proxy.
G.E. Booksh, A.J. Guidry, G. B. Haynes, A. C. Bujol, O.S. Foret, A quorum.
Mr. G. E. Booksh was duly elected Chairman, and presided, and explained the object of the meeting when the following resolution was introduced voted upon and unanimously adopted.
Be it resolved: that in accordance with the provisions of the laws of this state, it hereby ordered that a primary election be held in the Village of Addis. On Friday April 25th 1924, between the hours provided by law for the purpose of nominating Democratic candidates for the following Municipal officers:
One Mayor
Three Alderman
One Marshall
Five Members Village Executive Committee
Be it further resolved, that any person desiring to become a candidate for the various offices at said primary shall within ten days, or later then, April 3,1924,at 12O’Clock midnight, file with the chairman of this committee his written notification of his intention to become a candidate at said primary election in accordance with the provisions of the primary election laws.
Be it further resolved, that a sum of $2.00 be and the same is hereby fixed against each candidate for Mayor and Marshall, and the sum of $1.00 against each candidate for member of the board of Alderman.
No assessment was placed against candidates for Members of the Municipal; Democratic Executive Committee.
