SPECIAL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE OF ADDIS

A special meeting of the Mayor and Alderman of the Village of Addis was held on July 18, 1973.

Present: Mayor Earl E. Deville, Jr., Aldermen Warren Fitzgerald, Riley Berthelot, and Peter M. Strauss, Jr.

Absent: None

This meeting was called for the purpose of discussing drainage in the town, in particular the drainage under the railroad tracks. Mr. William Miller, the parish and town engineer, and Mr. Keith Martin, assistant engineer of the Missouri Pacific Railroad Co. were both present. It was agreed that these two engineers would meet on July 19, 1973 at 9:00 AM to plan what can be done to correct the drains under the railroad tracks.

The town hired several boys for odd jobs during the month of July. The Council eras pleased with their work and will again hire several more.

A check for $2698.00 from Federal Revenue Sharing for the quarter ending June 30, 1973 was received and deposited in the Plaquemine Bank and Trust Co.

There being no further business a motion was made by Alderman Berthelot, seconded by Alderman Fitzgerald and carried that the meeting be adjourned.
