An ordinance levying a general tax on all business, callings and professions for the year of 1926.
Section 1:
Be it ordained by the village council of Addis, Louisiana in regular session convened, that a general license tax for the year 1926 is hereby levied on all business, trades, and callings and professions carried on or conducted in the village of Addis, Louisiana and which are subject to a license tax under the laws of this state.
Section2:
Be it further ordained that the amount of licenses to be collected in all cases, and the graduation, and all classification thereof, be the same as provided by the general licenses laws of the state of Louisiana, and all amendments thereto, and said licenses to become due, and delinquent and the same penalties be imposed upon delinquents as is provided by said license laws of the state, which said laws is adopted and made the license laws for the village of Addis, Louisiana as far as possible.
Section3:
Be it further ordained, that all persons conduction the business of livery, automobile or jitney service shall pay a license of five dollars per annum on each and every vehicle used in said business.
There being no further business and on motion of Alderman Foret seconded by Alderman Guidry meeting adjourned subject to special call.
