VILLAGE OF ADDIS SPECIAL MEETING, AUGUST 30, 1972

A special meeting of the Mayor and Aldermen of the Village of Addis was held on August 30, 1972.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor E. E. Deville, Jr. with the following Aldermen present: Aldermen Warren Fitzgerald and Riley Berthelot. A Quorum.

This meeting was held to come to some decision as to whether or not the.: Town Council would adopt a resolution which would agree with the West Baton Rouge Police Jury's plan to try to put to the vote of the peop1e a Parish Wide Road Lighting District. This will all be discussed at open meetings.

A motion was made by Alderman Berthelot, seconded by Alderman Fitzgerald that the following resolution be adopted.

Mr. Roy Mooch and Mr. Landen Alexander were visitors to the meeting. They were present to try to explain to the Council some of the aspects of this proposed lighting project.

The towns attorney Mr. Philip Pecquet and the Council also discussed the legality of appointed Alderman Joseph Delapasse serving the full term of the deceased Mr. Shaw.

There being no further business to come before the board a motion was made by Alderman Fitzgerald seconded by Alderman Berthelot and carried that the meeting be adjourned.
