VILLAGE OF ADDIS MINUTES, August 26, 1977
A special meeting of the mayor and aldermen of the Village of Addis was held on August 26, 1977.
Present: Mayor Warren Fitzgerald, Aldermen Hilton Guidry, Jr., B.J. DeBlanc, Jr. and Robert Rabalais.
Absent: None
This meeting was held to discuss a quotation, presented by V.W. McLaughlin, to install two catch basins. One on the corner of Main and First Street and the other in the drain ditch next to Caldwell's grocery.
A motion was made by Mr. Guidry, seconded by Mr. DeBlanc and carried that the quotation, of the contractor, Mr. V.W. McLaughlin for $1,215.00 be accepted to do this work.
Mr. Robbins, of the firm of Bernard, Robbins, and Cavanaugh, Certified Public Accountants, was present to give the council and accounting of the Town Audit which was done by this firm. Mr. Robbins stated that the financial position and the accounts of the Village of Addis are in good standing.
The Village will now have two offices, one for the mayor and meetings and a business office. Therefore, Mr. DeBlanc made a motion which was seconded by Mr. Guidry and carried that Mrs. E.E. Deville, Sr. should be given a $15.00 increase in pay to take care of the additional office.
There being no further business a motion was made by Mr. Guidry, seconded by Mr. DeBlanc and carried that the meeting be adjourned.
