SPECIAL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE OF ADDIS, APRIL 21, 1973

On April 21, 1973 a special meeting of the Mayor Pro Tem and Aldermen of the Village of Addis was held. Present: Mayor Pro Tem. Warren Fitzgerald, Aldermen Riley L. Berthelot and Peter M. Strauss, Jr. Mayor Earl E. Deville, Jr. is presently out of town on personal business and was unable to attend.

The purpose of this meeting was to adopt the resolutions and ordinances which are necessary for the town to try to make it possible for the residents to obtain flood insurance. A representative from the parish will take these papers to Washington, D. C.

These have been written and adopted as follows: Copies attached.

There being no further business to come before the board a motion was made by Alderman Strauss, seconded by Alderman Berthelot and carried that the meeting be adjourned.

At a Special Meeting convened on Saturday, April 21, 1973, by the Village of Addis Town Council, it was moved by Riley Berthelot, seconded by Peter M. Strauss, Jr. - that the attached ordinance adopting the Building Code for the Village of Addis, Addis, Louisiana be adopted.

Upon Roll Call the following voted:.

FOR: Riley L. Berthelot, Peter M. Strauss, Jr.

AGAINST: None

ABSENT:  None

Mayor Pro Tem, Warren Fitzgerald, declared the above motion duly adopted.

Motion by Mr. Riley L. Berthelot, seconded by Mr. Peter M. Strauss, Jr. that Lawrence J. LeBlanc be, and is hereby named as the Building Official of the Village of Addis. It shall be the duty of the Building Official to enforce all laws relating to the construction, alteration, removal and demolition of buildings and structures.

After discussion, the vote on the foregoing motion was as follows;

FOR:  Riley L. Berthelot, Peter M. Strauss, Jr.

AGAINST: None

ABSENT: None
